Html Basics |
BasicsFor starters, there are some mandatory things you need to do! so let's start, Okay, so you always have to start an html code with <Html>. you might have noticed the <> symbols in the start and the end of the word "Html". These are mandatory symbols and have to be used in every word of a code leaving inside tags such as the paragraph tag. The Html tag will also have to be used in the end of a code but the symbols will be used a little differently: </Html>. Every word/element of a Html code has to be closed at the end of the particular element.
After the html tag, we use the "<Head>" tag. Under the Head tag will be the <title> tag, let's take for example that the page title will be "learn html", then the element will be written as: <title>learn html</title>. after that, the "head" tag has to close. Then comes the "<Body>" tag. The body tag closes just above the Html close element at the end of the code. you can refer EX- A1 to see the whole basics in picture. |
TagsThe !DOCTYPE html declaration defines this document to be HTML5 The html element is the root element of an HTML page The head element contains meta information about the document The title element specifies a title for the document The body element contains the visible page content The h1 element defines a large heading The p element defines a paragraph HTML tags normally come in pairs like p and p The first tag in a pair is the start tag, the second tag is the end tag The end tag is written like the start tag, but with a forward slash inserted before the tag name Tip: The start tag is also called the opening tag, and the end tag the closing tag. HTML Page Structure Below is a visualization of an HTML page structure: html head title Page title title head body h1 This is a heading h1 p This is a paragraph. p p This is another paragraph. p body html Note: This layout is made without front slashes and closures. The Declaration The declaration represents the document type, and helps browsers to display web pages correctly. It must only appear once, at the top of the page (before any HTML tags). The declaration is not case sensitive.
